Dr. Slaton Hoffner

Dr. Hoffner is originally from Michigan, and now calls Wisconsin “home.” He attended Albion College and received his Bachelors of Science Degree with a major in Biology. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2012.

Following graduation, Dr. Hoffner attended the University of Pittsburgh where he completed a three-year residency in anesthesiology in conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC); he completed rotations in Internal Medicine at UPMC Mercy, Critical Care Medicine at UPMC Presbyterian, General Anesthesia at UPMC Presbyterian, Montefiore and St. Margaret’s Hospital, Obstetric Anesthesia at UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital, and Pediatric Anesthesia at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. He also had extensive anesthesia training through the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine’s Center for Patient’s with Special Needs. Dr. Hoffner finished his residency in June 2015.  Dr. Hoffner practices the full spectrum of dental anesthesia, from sedation to intubated general anesthesia, on a wide array of patients; pediatric to the elderly, those who are sick, have special needs requirements, and those who are healthy, but have extreme dental phobia or a severe gag reflex.

Dr. Hoffner is a Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He has lectured nationally and taught various anesthesia-related courses to dental specialists. Dr. Hoffner enjoys cooking with his wife, helping raise and coach their two sons, spending time outdoors, and cheering on various Wisconsin and Michigan sports teams!


Dr. Hoffner is BLS, ACLS, PALS, and board certified.
